Black art pottery 15х20 (ГК 01-31)

Revival of undeservedly forgotten black art pottery of Gavaretchina happened not long ago, only 20-30 years ago. And according to historic sources its flourish was in the 1 millennium BC. In ancient times many Hutsul masters worked with black art pottery that was popular not only in Ukraine, but also abroad. The concatenation of circumstances caused the decay of this art and the method of smoking in the heated oven was threatened. But such beautiful things can not just be vanished from the face of the earth. Not many masters could save and transmit secrets of the ancient technology. At the present time only four masters are making smoked ceramic handicrafts, which are very popular and harmoniously combine with modern interior.

Black art pottery «ГК 01-31» (15х20сm) is a wonderful and functional kettle with tray of 0,5 L capacity. The handicraft is made according to ancient method of burning the handicraft in a mud stove with firewood without air access and with the high temperature.
