Women's short Hutsul sardak is the upper Hutsul clothing, typical of Hutsul culture. It is decorated with bright embroidery, beads, tassels and decorative elements that give it a festive look.
Hutsul sardak is made by hand using traditional techniques and materials on natural fabric. The process of its creation includes several main stages:
- Fabric selection
The sardak is sewn mainly from woolen cloth (drapa), which can be black, dark blue or brown. This material is durable and protects well from the cold.
- Cut and sewing
The craftswoman cuts out the details of the sardak, usually straight or slightly flared panels.
- Decoration
One of the most important stages is decoration. It includes:
Embroidery with laces (yellow, blue, red, green), which forms geometric or floral ornaments.
Application of colored woolen threads.
Embroidery, tassels, braided knots are a characteristic feature of the Hutsul sardak.
Final decoration and fitting
The Hutsul sardak is not just clothing, but part of the cultural heritage that is passed down from generation to generation.
Most sizes are usually available.
