Bronze zgarda 5х5 (ЗБ 01-25)

Bronze zgarda (or zgard) is a Hutsul cross that was considered to be a protective amulet. This handcraft is very widespread in western Ukraine, but its popularity has long crossed all borders.

So, what is the specific character of zgarda? First of all, it's only the hand work and traditional technology of manufacturing. The molten metal is poured into forms under the home conditions. The model «ЗБ 01-25» is cast of bronze, minted and engraved. The idea of the product is embodied in this adornment by the hands of the experienced master Orest Oniskiv, the grandson of the well-known craftsman Roman Strinadyuk. This zgarda is called «The curly» or «The sheep's horns».  It is unique within the meaning and in the manufacturing, as handmade products are always unique.
