Embroidered towel 32x200 (RV 01-04)

The online store "zgard" presents a handmade wedding towel made by Hutsul craftsmen. At all times, the magical power of the ceremonial wedding towel connected the hearts and souls of two lovers and protected married life from infidelity. Since ancient times, no significant event has been complete without beautifully embroidered towels. Having passed through the centuries, the embroidered towel has retained its symbolic meaning, the soul of the Ukrainian people. It is used in ceremonial actions to this day. Special importance is attached to the wedding towel. In ancient times, many towels were prepared for the wedding ceremony, but in our time their meaning has changed somewhat, and now embroidered towels are used in much smaller quantities. We present a towel embroidered with patterns (32x200cm) "RV 01-04". Cross-stitch embroidery on Panama canvas using traditional Ukrainian threads of red and black tones. The ornament depicts lilies as a symbol of chastity and purity. An integral part of such a composition is necessarily a leaf and a bud, symbolizing the triplicity of birth, development and infinity of life. The ritual purpose is confirmed by the inscription "for luck", "for fate".
