Wall cross 34х18х2 (ХС 01-07)

It is known that the crosses have existed in pre-Christian times, but they had slightly different meaning – symbol of the sun, symbol of the earth, symbol of fire, besides, this symbol also symbolized a person. And when Christianity appeared, the cross was taken as the main symbol of faith. In religion, the cross is a powerful talisman, and it always occupies a special place in the believing family.

Mainly for the manufacture of wall crosses walnut wood is used, as it is easy to work, and carving on the walnut retains its unique beauty for a long time. The so-called dry Hutsul wood carving is famous for its filigree and rich fantasy, it is a key element of the cross’s decoration, which adorns the church premises and homes of parishioners. The wall cross (34х18х2 сm) «ХС 01-07» is made of walnut wood, decorated with Hutsul dry carving and covered with furniture lacquer. But the main element of this model is the brass crucifix of Jesus Christ.
