Kosiv ceramics 2 litres (КК 01-85)

The traditional jug (jug) of Kosiv ceramics is a vivid example of Hutsul decorative and applied art.

This is a clay jug with a lid, painted in the characteristic style of Kosiv ceramics: yellow-brown, green and black colors on a light background. The ornament includes floral and geometric motifs created by engraving on raw glaze (the “rituvaniya” technique). The upper part is decorated with a “frieze” in the form of scales or a lattice, and the lower part is decorated with stylized flowers with curved stems.

Such a jug was used for storing and serving drinks - water, milk, uzvar or wine. Thanks to the glaze, it was not only beautiful, but also functional - it did not let liquid through.

This is not only a household item, but also a carrier of the cultural heritage of the Hutsul region. Each product is unique, because it is made by hand.
