Kosiv ceramics 42х12 (КК 01-05)

Carpathian villages are rich with deposits of clay – a natural material for pottery handcrafts manufacturing. It was here where a special ornament was engendered. It is called Kosovo ceramics. A pottery manufacturing in this region was always well developed. A special technique of decoration of the pots, plates and other kinds of dishes brought success to the Kosovo ceramic’s masters. In Ukraine this technique is called «rituvanie». It is used not only for making dishes, but also for home furnishings decoration, for example for ceramic tiles.

We present ceramic tiles «КК 01-05». The handcraft is covered with white clay and burned in the oven. Then it was decorated with color paints and covered with glaze. Master used green, yellow, brown and other colors to create an interesting picture in Hutsul style. The handcraft consists of three tiles, which are framed with wood. They are indivisible. The illustration on it represents family. There are unique drawings with church, house and actually Hutsul family on each of the tiles.

This decoration for home has a special fastening, so it can be hung on a wall. This handcraft looks good within the interior and ads national color to it.
