Milk ceramics 0,5л (КМ 01-08)

We often look with acute fascination on the pottery stand with different tureens vessels and jars. And it affects on us mysteriously and magically, even if we don’t realize it. It’s no wonder because ceramic dishes are works of the folk masters. The secrets of its manufacturing came to us from ancient times and are a history of our land and our ancestors.

The technique of making dishes with the milk burning is very old, and probably appeared together with potter's wheel. In Asian countries this technology is not used, but on such European countries like Georgia and Turkey it is very popular. During the manufacturing process the clay is too porous, so after the first burning process, the handcraft is dropped into the natural milk. The clay absorbs milk and becomes very compact. Milk ceramic (15х11 сm) «КМ 01-08» is made of the special sort of clay by hand on the potter's wheel. Its volume is 0,5л L.  The manufacturing process also includes burning handcrafts in the oven and than tempering it with milk.

The handcraft is good for cooking food in oven or microwave oven or on the open fire with a diffuser.
