Milk ceramics 0,5 (КМ 01-07)

Since olden times pottery art masters were encurtained with the halo of mystery. Maybe it is connected with belief that God made people of clay. Or maybe the potter's wheel spinning makes people believe that a potter should have a magic gift to make such beautiful clay vessels and jars. The process of manufacturing ceramic dishes with dropping it into the milk and burning in the oven is very ancient. The important thing is that after this the dishes become firm and store food for a long time, giving it a wonderful taste. The handcrafts are made of natural clay.  

Hutsul milk ceramic (14х7 сm) «КМ 01-07» has a shape of a small tureen (0.5 L volume) and is made by hands on the potter's wheel of the special sort of clay. The ancient technology of burning handcraft in the mud stove was used for manufacturing. Tempering the burned product is made with using of natural milk. In this case porous clay absorbs milk and becomes very compact. After that the handcraft is reheated up to 350 Celsius degrees again. The handcraft is good for oven or microwave oven. For open fire use a diffuser.
