Bronze, silver or brass – in most cases these materials are used for manufacturing of such wonderful things as buckles, rings and, of course, zgardas. The adornment zgarda is typically Hutsul. It has religious meaning and consists of cast crosses, strung on a wiring, coins, and in some cases other elements, between which the metal spirals or tubes are placed. 

The zgarda «ЗБ 01-02» consists of a cast crosses, angel, frame, solar signs, connected by a springs of brass. In total the product has 19 elements. The snap called «chepraga» is fixed at 90 degrees angle. Each element master cast by hand under the home conditions. After minting the handcraft is engraved to give it the final form. The zgarda looks very impressive, and a significant number of different elements give it a particular authenticity.  

The author of the handcraft is the famous master of artistic carving Orest Oniskiv. In the Hutsul region it is customary to call such master «mosjazhnik». In the circles of Ukrainian craftsmen and artists Orest is famous for his high mastery, inherited from the famous artisan, who was his grandfather – Roman Strinadyuk – the honored master of folk art.
